Boost Your Immune Health with Good Nutrition
How is
our Immune System affected by what we eat?
What
is considered good nutrition?
We
live in an era where our Immune systems are being attacked every day by
pollutants, by allergens, toxins, free radicals, and now even diseases. It is up
to us to create an environment that is safer for us. Yes, we cannot control
outside sources but we can control how what we put in our bodies, what we wear,
what we have in our homes, our thought process, and what products we apply
topically to our bodies.
Nutrition
plays a fundamental role in boosting our immune system as it fuels our bodies
with energy and helps with the function of our overall health. Our bodies
require various nutrients and minerals which are found in foods.

The choice is yours to make. The saying you are what you eat rings true every time.
Take, for example, an individual who has diabetes needs to stay away from sugar
as they have a “sweet tooth,” while a person with high blood pressure would
stay away from salty foods or a person with heart problems/cholesterol need to
stay away from fried foods. If you look at the three examples, they are lacking
baseline nutrients. While cooking nutrients are lost based on how the meal is
prepped.
In
order to get maximum benefits from your food you want to have a colorful plate and cook your food in the most natural ways possible. Everything is linked to
food and resolved by food. Here are tips to boost your immune system:
1. Avoid
foods with refined sugars
2. Eat
more greens
3. Eat
fruits and vegetables very high in antioxidants
4. Have
high fibrous foods
5. Have
probiotics
6. Maintain
good oral health (your mouth is where everything begins)
7. Avoid
smoking, drugs, and drinking
8. Avoid
processed foods
9. Shop
on the perimeter of the stores
10. Grow
your own vegetables and fruits (Non-GMO, no pesticides, no chemicals)
11. Have
nuts

Today,
we are not getting all the nutrients and minerals our bodies require to
function at an optimal level and it is very important for us to supplement with
good quality supplements that are pharmaceutical grade, that is FDA approved,
RDA approved and potency guaranteed.
